    We can collect your documents from your offices anywhere in the UK on the same, next day, or whenever is required.

    OCR Processing can convert your documents to fully text-searchable files. Using this, it is quick and easy to locate specific data within a file, using keywords to search through the files.

    Our files are fully accredited to ISO 9001:2000 quality assurance standards and we have developed our internal quality-control procedures to ensure that the files meet required industry standards.

Fast and high quality digital conversion Aperture Cards are scanned at high resolution to produce digital PDF files

Our aperture card digitisation and copying department can handle all types of microfilm cards (aperture cards) and convert to digital formats of your choice, such as TIFF, PDF and even AutoCAD formats such as .dwg or .dxf.

Where you just have a couple of cards or hundreds of thousands, our aperture cards scanning department has the infrastructure and capacity to handles these volumes with ease.

The Aperture cards can be collected from your offices as quickly as the same day,  and scanned and returned in a short turnaround time.

The Aperture Cards scanning process Our simple three step process

Our clients have the choice to either send their Aperture Cards to our scanning centre or request a secure collection service. We provide a next day collection and delivery service from anywhere in mainland UK.

Once collected, our aperture card scanning team will setup the scanners and the technical profile based on the quality of the aperture cards, this will also include setting up image resolution, scanning formats e.g. PDF or TIFF.

Upon completion of scanning, an indexation of the scanned images created from the aperture cards is carried out. Aperture cards images (PDF etc. files) are typically indexed by the following information;

  • Drawing reference number
  • Drawing Title or Description
  • Issue Number
  • Sheet Number

The scanned PDF files are then supplied via CD, USB or secure downloadable link.

We operate from a custom built document scanning and data capture centre, which is built around security, safety and confidentiality. The site is monitored 24hours a day by security and CCTV systems.


The document scanning and data capture bureau is equipped with the state-of-the-art dedicated document, Microfilm media, Books and Large Format Plans scanning and capture technology; catering for a wide range of document types and sizes making us a one-stop service provider for scanning and digital conversion needs . We continually invest in our staff training and latest technology to ensure that we are delivering quality and innovations at all times.


Pearl Scan Group has the infrastructure to provide quick turnaround for urgent document scanning needs to taking on a large volume scanning and conversion of documents, microfilm media, books etc. projects. Our document scanning and data capture service centre always run at 80% of its productivity allowing 20% space and resources for on-demand, ad-hock projects.
